We will take you to ancient 7th century temples to pay respects to enlightened Buddha statues and meditate with some venerated Buddhist lamas.

The remarkable and steep descent into the Paro valley is an awe-inspiring beginning to an adventure of a lifetime.
Paro is the gateway to Bhutan, home to the only international airport. This is where you begin your journey to the land of happiness. After visa formalities and collection of baggage, you will be greeted by the Bhutanese representative from Lucky Dragon Tours and Treks.
On the first day, we will drive you to Thimphu, The capital of Bhutan. On the way you will get a glimpse of the crystal clear rivers and take a brief stop at the temple, crossing through an old cantilever bridge.
You will be greeted by the gigantic Buddha statue of 169 ft. overlooking the Thimphu city. The panoramic view of the whole Thimphu city and hills never fails to cease viewer’s eyes.
After your prayers to the enlightened massive Buddha statue and some photography sessions with the mesmerising views, we will go the nearby nature park and contemplate on the serenity, the mother nature offers through a mediation session.
After breakfast, you will be driving to Punakha – the old capital. You will be greeted with glorious views of snow-capped mountains and the scenic beauty of Dochula pass.
Dochula pass lies in the mid-way to Punakha from Thimphu at an altitude of 3,100 meters above sea level. The pass is a popular location among tourists as it offers a stunning 360-degree panoramic view of the Himalayan mountain range.
If you are enthusiastic about Yoga, you can practice some open air yoga with our expert Yogini amid the nature facing the highest snowcapped mountains in Bhutan, breathing the most fresh carbon neutral air which Bhutan is quite famous for.
After reaching Punakha valley, you will visit the famous spiritual fertility temple and walk around the rice fields and giggle at the paintings of Phallus on the traditional Bhutanese houses.
Your guide will share a lot of stories of the divine madman, who visited Bhutan in the 14th century from Tibet. Trust me, this is very unique experience and you will surely love and laugh at it.

After lunch, you will be visiting the magnificent and tranquil Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery, which sits atop a hill and commands the view of the gorgeous Punakha valley and Wangduephodrang valley. Standing amidst the lush pine trees, this structure is a beautiful demonstration of the fine architecture and tradition of Bhutan. Your guide will take you to visit Punakha Dzong (fort) also known as the palace of bliss.
Before reaching there, you will find some fine spots, where you can take a panoramic picture of the fort for your #picoftheday collection
Today after lunch, we will be driving to Phobjikha valley and the drive time will be around 3 hours. As we drive down the valley, you will see many yak herders camp and nomad families at work. This place is also a paradise for bird lovers.
The valley of Gangtey is truly magnificent and a peaceful place and many call it the Shangri La of Bhutan. With a panoramic view of the valley and beautiful fauna especially during the spring, it’s a true Shangri la. When winter starts, Rare species of Black Necked Crane fly from Tibet to Gangtey and they even have a black-necked crane festival that starts around mid-November.
You can also visit the Royal Society for Protection of Nature, also known as The Crane Centre, which displays material on the cranes and their environment, as well as guides conservation awareness operations on this threatened bird.
Herbal Hot stone Bath
Bhutan is also known as the land of medicinal herbs and we also have traditional
Butanese hospitals and medicines alike the Chinese medicine ones.
You can sip some Cordyceps tea and enjoy some herbal hot stone bath at Phobjikha
valley, which will release all your stress and fatigues from your body.

Today, we will be driving mostly amid the thick jungles of pine and oak trees, caressing one of the highest mountain pass and down the valleys of rhododendron flowers.
You will be able to see the life of the village people and the serenity of those places. You will be amazed at how happy those villagers are albeit that survive just on basic necessities.

Enchanting Paro Valley
The historical town of Paro lies at
the centre of a valley rich in sacred
sites and ancient buildings and
